About Me
______________________
Hello! I am an entry-level Mechanical Engineer and graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. As a kid, I was always fascinated by how the internal and external structures and components of different systems work together to complete their designated tasks. With my Dad, I would help build usable structures like skatepark ramps to scooter on, allowing me to examine more of how things can manufactured to be used. Growing up in Seattle fostered my love for the outdoors, whether it be snowboarding in the winter, scootering at skateparks in the summer, or playing competitive team sports.
In my undergraduate college career, I was able to explore my interests in creative problem solving in engineering and designing structures and components with realistic and compelling applications. I was given opportunity to work on many group projects at the University of Colorado, Boulder, bringing hands-on experience to connect the concepts discussed in class. In these, I have been able to bring math and models to life, winning things like 1st place at the Wobbler Engine Runoff and 2nd place at the mobility division of the Drill-Bike Runoff with my effective design efforts and team leadership. For my collegiate capstone project, I served as the Logistics Manager and a Test Engineer for the Arrow Vane for Archery Hunting Capstone project to redesign arrow vanes to have scientifically proven accuracy, stability, drag, and sound characteristic improvements during flight.
Currently, I work as a CAD Engineer at Process Engineering and Equipment Corp. to assist in developing models of industrial processing structures and components used to separate sand and water from industrial tailings for further use. Through this introductory experience in post-graduate engineering, I am furthering the valuable lessons from my degree to develop my understanding of process design, utilizing client specifications, and optimization. After pursuing another interest in the food industry for a year, returning to engineering through a particular interest of mine from college re-establishes my focus on how useful I can be in engineering design.
Outside of engineering, I thoroughly enjoy coming up with inventive new recipes, playing disc golf in the woods, adrenaline-laden snowboarding, and spending time exploring with friends.
